On 18th September 2024, the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) launched the ‘Youth Academy on Climate Adaptation and Leadership’  at the University of Nairobi during the “Dialogue on Accelerating Adaptation Education in a Climate Emergency.” The dialogue convened over 500 global leaders, development partners, academics, and student representatives to explore collaborative strategies for delivering climate adaptation education and discussed the importance of empowering young people and the most vulnerable communities to lead adaptation actions in Africa.

First Year B.Ed students report to the Faculty of Education,University of Nairobi on Monday,19th August  2024. The department of Educational Communication Technology and Pedagogical studies admitted 130 student in to the B.Ed Early Childhood Education Program offered by the department.   

The LITES Research Validation Workshop was held on 26th July 2024 at the Swiss-Belmont hotel Nairobi. Prof TJ D'Agostino and Prof Hellen Inyega led the workshop. The UON Vice Chancellor Prof Stephen Kiama officially opened the workshop, also in attendance was the Dean faculty of Education Prof. Jeremiah Kalai. The department of Educational communication Technology and Pedagogical Studies was well represented in the LITES research dissemination workshop .
