LITES Research Validation Workshop

The LITES Research Validation Workshop was held on 26th July 2024 at the Swiss-Belmont hotel Nairobi. Prof TJ D'Agostino and Prof Hellen Inyega led the workshop. The UON Vice Chancellor Prof Stephen Kiama officially opened the workshop, also in attendance was the Dean faculty of Education Prof. Jeremiah Kalai. The department of Educational communication Technology and Pedagogical Studies was well represented in the LITES research dissemination workshop .

Visit by University of Nebraska Staff and Students

The department of educational communication and technology hosted students and faculty members from Nebraska University. They had a fruitful discussions on areas of collaboration with each other. Students from the department  also had an opportunity to interact with the students of Nebraska University and also proposed areas they felt they could collaborate to enhance their learning experience.  

Teaching practice Symposium

The Department of Educational Communication Technology and Pedagogical studies held its first Teaching Practice Symposium on 26th April 2024. The event was held online and was attended by universities in Kenya and around the world. The keynote speech was given by Dr. Reetta Niemi who gave insights on Global Perspectives of Teaching Practice Experiences, with emphases on the Expected Competencies for the 21 st Century Teacher. The meeting was officially opened by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic affairs Prof. Leonida Kerubo franked by the Dean Faculty of Education Prof.
