UoN Mega Faculty Hackthon was held on 3rd  to 5th  April, 2024. Top 35 teams which were selected from round one will later battle it out for the best 10 teams. Our students' team ( Faculty of Education) led by Mr. Alex M. Kyalo qualified for round two after emerging among the best 20 innovations. The team pitched an innovation on Bursary Management System. The best teams will participate in the Nairobi innovation week, The Nairobi Innovation Week event will include a three day hackathon as part of the activities.

Training of Trainers for the Mega Faculty Hackathons was conducted on 26-28 Feb 2024 at Wangare Maathai Inistitute. Training was organised by the office of the DVC (RIE) and that of the Director (Innovations and Intellectual Property).The department of educational Communication and technology was well represented by Dr. Kyalo Mulwa a member of our academic staff. This was in preparations for the Faculty of Education Hackathons which is a build up to  the Nairobi innovation week which will be held  in May this year
