The University of Nairobi conducted a virtual graduation a first one since it's inception.The University, in the recent past successfully shifted all its research,teaching and learning to online platforms due to the challenges posed by Covid -19 pandemic. On September 25th , 2020 the University delivered the 63rd Graduation through virtual platform. The ceremony was held at the Great Court. The chief guest Cabinet secretary for education Prof George Magoha graced the occasion.
A total number of 2,851 graduands among them 54 PhDs awards, 370 Master degree awards, 2,045 Bachelor degree and 367 Diploma awards were conferred degrees and awarded diplomas by the Chancellor, Dr. Vijoo Rattansi at the 63rd Graduation Ceremony on September 25, 2020
The graduates keenly followed the ceremony from the comfort on their homes via the University of Nairobi social media channels. The event was also live on KTN Home and Switch TV’s Facebook page.
