The Department of Educational Communication ,Technology and Pedagogical Studies hosted a Lecturer from Linköping University Dr. Linda Lattik, from the Department of Behavioural Sciences and Learning (IBL), Linköping University in an ongoing exchange program between the two universities. She taught third year students in the department in the course unit Teaching methods in art and craft currently being taught by Dr Gladys Kinyua.

The department of Educational communication technology and pedagogical Studies faculty member Dr Peter Kyalo Mulwa Graduated with a PHD in Education (Educational Technology) during the 68th Graduation ceremony. The graduation was held o 16th December 2022. The department also graduated masters( Educational technology) and bachelors degree in early childhood Education students during the event
The Chairman, department of education communication and technology on Monday 3rd October led other staff members of the department to induct Early years Education, first year students. The students were taken through the course content and also the career paths that they can pursue after the Early years education course. They were introduced to staff members of the department and they were given an opportunity to interact with them, and any concerns that they had were addressed.
The University of Nairobi will be holding its 67th Graduation Ceremony on Friday 23rd September 2022. The Department of education communication technology and pedagogical studies will be graduating 28 Early Childhood Education undergraduate students, 6 masters students and 2 PHD Students
The first years are expected to physically report to the Faculty of Education of the University of Nairobi Kikuyu Campus from Monday, September 19, 2022. All the necessary arrangements have been made for the day. All students placed in this faculty are welcome for admission.
