PROF. P.O.O. DIGOLO’S SPEECH DURING EGRIC LAUNCH ON 14/2/2013
The Chairman agreed on how EGRIC was already underway and how several
things had been done including development of the EGRIC content, uploading
onto University e-learning portal and baseline survey for our students
already undertaken. He mentioned also the fact that the BEd (ECE) students
had identified a child whom they were pre-testing before they develop and
Individual Education Plan (IEP) to provide reading intervention after
identifying their unique needs.
The Dean also joined the principal in congratulating the EGRIC team and
stated that being one of them he would do all it takes to ensure it
succeeds and the school is rated higher on performance contracting.
The Deputy Principal Kenya Science welcomed members to Kenya Science and
stated that as a host he was proud to be associated with EGRIC because it
would be implemented in his backyard.
The Principal lauded the efforts of COMTECH to look for funding and wished
the EGRIC team well. He said he would be on hand to provide further
support to ensure the program succeeded.
The DVC student affairs, Prof. Isaac Meroka Mbeche represented the VC. He
read the VC's speech and added that he too supported EGRIC and that he had
seen some of the EGRIC Team members grow professionally. He was hopeful
the team would go far with that kind of zeal and determination
